Jeffrey Jacobson – Co-Founder and Chief OODAgeek

Based in Washington D.C., Jeff drives OODAlink’s techni­cal direc­tion, among the many other hats he wears. On any given day, you’ll find him wedging sales demos between vendor meetings, geeking out with the latest gear, digging up sales leads, build­ing strate­gic partner­ships, and OODAmarketing with Nancy.

Jeff  holds a number of technol­ogy patents for enhanc­ing, secur­ing, and manag­ing satel­lite and wireless commu­ni­ca­tions networks. He brings more than 28 years’ experi­ence build­ing compa­nies and inter­dis­ci­pli­nary teams, devel­op­ing markets, and negoti­at­ing strate­gic alliances. Jeff’s been exten­sively involved in construct­ing, negoti­at­ing, and manag­ing complex, creative deals involv­ing technol­ogy devel­op­ment, licens­ing, capital invest­ment, and joint market­ing programs.

Prior to OODAlink, he founded Avizer LLC, a consult­ing firm provid­ing strate­gic guidance, business devel­op­ment, service creation, technol­ogy licens­ing, and inter­dis­ci­pli­nary team-building for numer­ous technol­ogy clients. Before Avizer, he was a found­ing partner of a satel­lite and wireless design, integra­tion and imple­men­ta­tion company provid­ing wireless solutions globally.

Jeff holds a Master of Science in electri­cal engineer­ing from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in electri­cal engineer­ing from the University of Illinois. (Thus, the chief OODAgeek title.)

Nancy Harvey – Co-Founder and Chief OODAmarketer

Located just outside Portland, Oregon, Nancy’s turned into quite the geek herself (her partner’s influ­ence, no doubt). While her focus is all things market­ing, she’s been rumored to carry a data logger in her brief­case, config­ure routers when suffer­ing from writer’s block, and stand up satcom networks by the campfire–just for the fun of it.

Nancy brings more than 20 years in the trenches of technol­ogy market­ing and channel devel­op­ment. Prior to OODAlink, she honed her skills as a market­ing contrac­tor for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 technol­ogy compa­nies. Over the years, she has contributed to myriad strate­gic and tacti­cal market­ing projects, includ­ing: brand­ing, messag­ing, and position­ing; copywrit­ing and Web content devel­op­ment; lead gener­a­tion; proposal writing and produc­tion; market research; and sales force automa­tion implementation.

Prior to her own gig, Nancy was with Olympus America as digital cameras debuted on the market. There she was respon­si­ble for half the company’s digital camera revenue; as well as planning and execut­ing place­ment, promo­tion, and pricing strate­gies for major national retail­ers and dis­tri­b­u­tion partners. She started her tech­nol­ogy mar­ket­ing career peddling floppy disks for a global man­u­fac­turer when 3.5″ diskettes were all the rage (can she really be that old?).

Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in business commu­ni­ca­tion from Bentley University near Boston.
