The OODAkit’s BGAN terminal must obtain a GPS fix to register on the satellite network. This usually occurs automatically during the pointing process.
But if line of sight is blocked and/or elevation is very low, it may not. If this occurs, do the following:
1. Place the antenna flat on an even surface, pointing straight upwards to view as much sky as possible.
2. Watch for “Acquiring GPS” on the terminal’s LCD. Check status on LCD: PROPERTIES > GPS STATUS. Once GPS fix is obtained, point as usual.
